my first lesson in parallel parking last thursday... rainy day it was... hope i can be good at it
he says i may need to go through circuit at least 10 times. that's like $ 220... i've stopped lessons for one week bcoz of sch starting.
parents abroad in europe so my po-po has been staying over at my house at night...
the second night, the 2nd floor shortcircuited bcoz of the problematic heater and we woke up in the middle of the night in sweltering heat as the fans had stopped working. it was fixed. then in the morning one of the living room lights was flickering and abt to blow so i fixed tt too by removing it. then i was leaving for work so i went upstairs to shut the windows and the curtain was caught in one of the windows. i pulled it out but now the white curtain has black streaks of melted rubber tt's just abt unremovable and the window is stuck shut.
stopping work to go schooling. sun was my last day. on sat, this gurkha man and his sons bought two Big Gulps and two chicken rolls from 7-11. the boys apparently had already bought the drinks earlier and gone to the playground then came back later with their father to get food...
so they walked in with the drinks but i didn't see them. later they selected the food and the father brought it to the counter to pay. he put the two chicken rolls on the counter and made a comment that made it clear the two boys were his sons and he was paying. the two boys stood right behind him drinking away. so i rang up the 2 rolls and 2 drinks. they paid and left. after a while, quite long also, they came back and the father was like so angry and started asking why i charged him for the drinks tt he had already paid before and he agitatedly said that the boys had bought the drinks and left before coming back for food and they had already paid for the drinks once. so i naturally asked him why didn't he say tt the drinks were already paid for when i was ringing up the items. guess what he said... he demanded why didn't i ask?....
imagine , they stand in front of the counter drinking Big Gulps from 7-11 and they expect me to know they have paid for it b4... like i'm supposed to know i must ask them if they paid b4? if i ask every customer whether they have paid b4 for any item they bring to the counter and they all say have already paid and just walk out then won't we be doing 'kui ben shen yi'?
if you have already paid and don't want to pay again it's your own responsibility to tell me so when you walk into the store with your purchase. so if i'm supposed to ask every customer if they are gg to pay and all of them refuse then they don't need to pay is it? really ah, these ppl got no common sense...
enuff lah. forget it... get angry over these type of ppl just waste energy only.
so i stayed over at po-po's hse last night went for my first day of sch from there. i watched ma xiaoling last night b4 gg to sleep. i think i like this show even tho it's crappy and i can't rmbr the first two parts of it... so i woke up at 7.30 and left hse at 8 taking 107 to lavender then mrt to queenstown to catch their free shuttlebus to the unicampus.
this school is bloody isolated, far and ulu. there's still construction gg on bcoz it's not completed yet and there are all these construction workers hanging around and knocking and hammering gg on. it seems there's no water cooler around also. the canteen is always packed at break so there's no hope of getting anything from it. had this anatomy lecture, really basic stuff tt i shld already know but have forgotten some. their notes are full and comprehensive so i can just read it even if i fall asleep. my mp3 recording is working. the lecturer is female, named Dr. Pallavi. she's quite ok i think, speaks clearly and can be understood. hope every lecturer is like her. no homework tho... i wonder why but anyway i'm starving right now waiting for my po-po to come and stay and bring her delicious home-cooked dinner for me. i've been exempted from maths 1 and 2 so apparently i don't have to attend the lectures or take the tests... i'm thinking of sitting in anyway cos of the a levels... maybe i can pick up some lost formulas to at least do one question of my blank ppr...
ytd morning was also staying over at popo's hse and went shopping with her. saw some t-shirts and bought 5 at 3 for $10 price i think i'm quite satisfied with it. there's this orange shirt tt i like. the effect wasn't really what i imagined but it's still nice. this is what i consider a good bargain...cheap shirts, look nice and trendy, feels great because it's just simply t-shirt material perfect for weather in sg.
ppl i met in school(if i can rmbr their names): one Fish(chinese character yu2 - says it's a nickname), jun hui(girl ok, all girls), about two other girls tt i must ask again.
jun hui is 22. just finished engineering in poly and decided to change subjects bcoz she couldn't find prospects she liked in engineering jobs
fish i think is 17 gg to 18 and i guess only tt she finished normal acad O levels so took 5 yrs in sec sch. didn't ask so is just a guess bcoz she and the two other girls told me their secondary school when i asked wat they're doing previously...
the two girls come from the same sch and are about the same age as me. also gave sec sch as last sch and said they have been doing nothing for 9 mths... so i'm still trying to guess what they take b4 ...
