ytd was my last day at work. instead of coming twice in the last two days of the month for the afternoon shift i came for the whole day from 9am to 6pm. the students did their work in the morning but there were only a few of them. i was to organise games for them to play that afternoon so i decided on a treasure hunt. i didn't know actually what to do for that but the book i had been reading happened to feature a button hunt where buttons were hidden for children to find. i didn't have any buttons so i decided to use balloons (unblown ones...for some reason, each time i mention hiding balloons to someone they always say "so big how to hide? won't pop out meh?")anyway i hid the balloons and set the "dogs" loose to sniff them out... managed to keep them looking for an hour and then dispensed sweets according to the no. of balloons each child got...out of the 50 balloons i had drawn stars on 5 of them and those who found these five as well as the child with the most balloons received a rubber stamp as a prize...i had plenty of sweets left over so i just started distributing them indiscriminately...there was still time so i told them to blow their balloons up and the biggest balloon would get a prize too. they all started blowing and bursting balloons... announced the winner then it was about time to go so they packed their bags and got ready first then they played dog-and-bone until their parents came for them
